Gosforth Nursery provides full day care and education for children and babies from four months of age from its purpose built premises situated in the grounds of Gosforth School.
The Nursery is open between 7.30am and 5pm throughout the year and provides a flexible approach to meet the individual needs of families accessing our services. We are registered to offer free places for 2, 3 and 4 year old children under the Early Years Education scheme (15 hours universal entitlement and 30 hours to eligible families). We accept a wide range of employee childcare vouchers as payment for nursery fees.
We work within the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum with a play based approach to children's learning, planning a range of activities and experiences to help children make progress in all areas of learning and development. We place high importance on the benefits of outdoor play and have excellent outdoor facilities for all ages of children.
Out of school care is also available for children attending Gosforth C of E Primary School. This includes breakfast and after school clubs and holiday club during school holiday periods, offering a wide range of activities. Childcare vouchers can also be used for this service.
